About Independent Solutions-


Independent Solutions provides consulting, recruitment, and staffing services to the life sciences sector, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and automation industries. We support clients with CQV, validation, technical resourcing, and project delivery in GMP-regulated environments.

As we expand across Ireland and EMEA, we are seeking a business development professional to strengthen our recruitment and staffing services by building partnerships with leading life sciences organisations.


Role Overview-


commercially driven and network-savvy Business Development Consultant


Key Responsibilities-


Client Development


  • Identify and engage pharma, biotech, medtech, and automation companies in Ireland/EMEA.
  • Promote our recruitment and staffing services tailored to GMP and regulated industries.
  • Develop proposals and client-specific solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.


Strategic Growth


  • Collaborate with the Director on recruitment business growth strategies.
  • Attend online industry events and forums to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends to refine positioning.


Partnerships & Networking


  • Build connections with HR, hiring managers, engineering, quality, and project leads.
  • Leverage personal networks to secure new opportunities and referrals.


Marketing & Brand Promotion


  • Contribute to marketing materials, capability decks, and case studies.
  • Support LinkedIn campaigns, social media outreach, and CRM-driven BD activities.


Required Skills & Experience-


Essential


  • 5–10+ years in business development, recruitment sales, or client relationship management within life sciences, automation, or technical consulting.
  • Proven ability to generate recruitment leads, build pipelines, and convert clients.
  • Understanding of GMP/regulatory environments and hiring needs in pharma/biotech/medtech.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and goal-oriented in remote settings.


Desirable


  • Prior experience in a recruitment agency, talent consultancy, or resourcing firm.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, or marketing automation platforms.
  • Background knowledge of CQV, validation, quality, or project roles (advantage).
  • Exposure to contract staffing or vendor management systems (VMS).
