Job Title: Business Controller (Reporting / FP&A)

Location - Mumbai

Industry - Oil and Gas / Engineering


Job Summary:

The Head of Business Controller is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. This role ensures accurate and timely financial insights for decision-making, supports financial planning, and leads strategic finance projects. The role also involves managing reporting processes, financial system implementations, and working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  1. Prepare and present key financial reports for management.
  2. Develop financial and operational performance reports.
  3. Oversee accounts receivable and work-in-progress aging analysis.
  4. Conduct monthly financial analysis and reporting.
  5. Maintain and review accrued expense details.
  6. Develop and update long-term financial performance trends.
  7. Prepare financial and operational job reports as required.
  8. Compile and analyze specific financial and cost reports.
  9. Lead budget and forecast preparation and coordination.
  10. Participate in financial and business review meetings.
  11. Conduct monthly performance reviews.
  12. Perform cash flow analysis and liquidity planning.
  13. Handle ad hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.


Strategic & Project Management:

  1. Oversee financial system implementation and management.
  2. Manage capital expenditure approval processes.
  3. Support various ad hoc strategic initiatives and financial projects.


Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience in auditing, financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Leadership experience with the ability to collaborate across departments.


Preferred Experience:

Experience in business controlling roles.

Knowledge of financial consolidation and reporting tools.

Experience in financial governance and approval processes.
