Position: Business Analytics Specialist – Data Automation & Visualization Location: Kolkata Employment Type: [Full-time] Department: Business Analytics About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analytics Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is key to driving automation, advanced reporting, and insightful data analysis across all functional areas. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data, visualization, and delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Automate recurring reports and develop visually compelling, insight-driven dashboards. Support functional areas such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Strategy, and Commercial Operations with relevant models and reporting tools. Build and maintain data models using tools like Power BI, incorporating star schema and performance optimization best practices. Transition existing QlikView reports to Power BI, leveraging experience with association modeling. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand goals and translate them into clear data solutions. Use SQL in SSMS to extract, interpret, and transform data efficiently. Work with PySpark and Azure dataflows to transform data across bronze, silver, and gold layers. Assist in project scoping, requirement gathering, data extraction, transformation, and visualization delivery. Provide after-hours support when required and attend all relevant stakeholder meetings. Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of analytics and reporting functions. Technical Skills Required Proficient in SQL and SSMS Advanced knowledge of Power BI, DAX, and Power Query Experience with PySpark and Azure Data Factory pipelines Familiarity with QlikView and migration to Power BI Exposure to Power Automate and automation tools Understanding of Agile development and project management methodologies Strong data modelling capabilities and visualization skills Soft Skills & Attributes Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized with attention to detail Proactive, self-motivated, and result-oriented Ability to manage time and deliver under pressure Team player with a flexible and creative mindset Strong customer orientation and stakeholder management skills Passion for data analysis and generating insights Preferred Experience 3–6 years in Business Analytics or related role Experience working across multiple business domains Proven track record of delivering automated and strategic data solutions Skills: sql,automation,advanced,azure dataflows,power query,visualization,azure data factory,qlikview,dax,power automate,pyspark,sql,,power bi,data,agile methodologies,ssms,analytics Show more Show less
