ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop new medical devices and equipment, such as artificial organs, prosthetics, diagnostic tools, and surgical instruments.Conduct research and testing to ensure the safety, efficacy, and functionality of biomedical products before they are manufactured.Collaborate with scientists, medical professionals, and other engineers to understand clinical needs and translate them into technical solutions.Provide technical support and training to healthcare personnel on the proper use and care of biomedical equipment.Install, maintain, and repair biomedical equipment and systems in a clinical or hospital setting.Analyze data from device performance and clinical trials to refine designs and troubleshoot issues.Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing design specifications, testing procedures, and compliance with regulations.Stay updated on new advancements, technologies, and regulatory standards within the biomedical engineering field.Ensure all medical devices and procedures comply with government regulations, such as those set by the FDA and ISO.
