Position: Biogas Projects Head (Project Execution Vertical) Location: Mumbai, Ahmedabad (initially), relocating to Mauritius within one year Global Green Energy & Power is seeking an experienced and innovative Project Management Head to lead the development and execution of Biogas to Electricity and Compressed Biogas (CBG) projects. The role requires extensive travel to Liberia, Mauritius, and Eswatini, where our biogas initiatives are being established. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive sustainability and energy transformation in key regions. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and commissioning of biogas and waste-to-energy projects, while transitioning to a global leadership role at our headquarters in Mauritius. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement strategies for the successful execution of Biogas to Electricity and Compressed Biogas projects. Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for waste-to-energy initiatives. 2. End-to-End Project Management: Oversee all phases of project execution, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, waste management authorities, technology providers, and local stakeholders. Act as the primary interface for project discussions with local and international partners. 4. Technology and Sustainability Focus: Ensure the adoption of best-in-class biogas production and utilization technologies. Emphasize sustainability, regulatory compliance, and environmental best practices throughout project execution. 5. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers and technical specialists. 6. Travel and Relocation: Regularly travel to Liberia, Mauritius, and Eswatini to oversee project sites and stakeholder meetings. Transition to the Mauritius-based global headquarters within one year. 7. Risk Management and Compliance: Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively. Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and organizational policies. Qualifications and Experience · Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering. MBA or advanced degree in Management or Renewable Energy is preferred. · Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in biogas, waste-to-energy. Proven track record in commissioning biogas facilities. · Skills and Competencies: Strong expertise in project lifecycle management, including engineering, procurement, and construction. Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
