Position: Transmission Projects Head (Project Execution Vertical) Location: Mumbai, Ahmedabad (initially), relocating to Mauritius within one year Global Green Energy & Power is seeking an experienced Project Management Head to lead the development of transmission infrastructure for our renewable energy projects. These projects include medium-scale hydroelectric power plants, biogas-to-electricity facilities, and Solar PV IPP (Independent Power Producer) projects located in Liberia and Eswatini. The role involves significant travel to project sites to oversee planning, execution, and commissioning of transmission networks. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategies for the design, construction, and commissioning of transmission infrastructure for renewable energy projects. Conduct feasibility studies and ensure alignment with technical, regulatory, and environmental standards. Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of transmission projects, including grid interconnection design, substation development, and high-voltage line construction. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government authorities, utilities, contractors, and local communities to facilitate smooth project execution. Negotiate and manage agreements related to grid connection, land acquisition, and right-of-way for transmission lines. On-Site Oversight and Travel: Regularly visit project sites in Liberia and Eswatini to monitor progress and address challenges. Ensure adherence to project schedules, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements. Team Leadership: Build and lead a multidisciplinary project management team focused on transmission infrastructure. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing transmission systems. Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Relocation and Global Operations: Transition to the Mauritius-based global headquarters within one year to oversee the organization’s transmission infrastructure portfolio and future expansions. Qualifications and Experience Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Power Systems Engineering. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) in Project Management or Renewable Energy is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing transmission infrastructure projects, with a focus on renewable energy integration. Proven track record of executing high-voltage transmission line and substation projects. Skills and Competencies: Expertise in grid interconnection, substation design, and high-voltage line construction. Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and technical standards for transmission systems. Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.
