BAR MANAGER JOB BRIEF Job Title : - Bar Manager Department : - Food & Beverage Service Hierarchy Level : - Middle Management Gender Preference : - Male/ Female Age Preference : - 25-30 Years Pay Structure : - 35-40000 /- Per Month Reporting to : - General Manager JOB BRIEF Plan and promote bar events aimed towards achievement of business objectives. Being a bar manager is a role that involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a bar or nightclub. Bar managers are responsible for ensuring that the bar runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY Ensure prompt, courteous response and follow up to all Bar enquiries. Ensure agreed budgeted targets are achieved or bettered. Ensure liquor costs are maintained at their agreed levels and budgeted profit margins are achieved. Liaise or ensure on keeping a current liquor license Ensure duty rosters are compiled, making certain that adequate numbers of experienced permanent and casual waiting staff will be on duty Ensure best supplier contracts are on board, take inventory and reorder supplies accordingly. Ensure accounts department receives accurate information to enable it to correctly bill the client. Ensure effective briefing of waiting staff before the bar operation commences including bar and waiting staff know the limit of open bars and that this is not exceeded. Check equipment regularly against the inventory to ensure minimum losses. Prepare feedback reports on guest letters and comments. Prepare and submit on the required format all information necessary for budgeting purposes, on time and accurately. EDUCATION Minimum Education: - Certified Bartending Course. Technical Education: - Hotel Management Graduate or Diploma in Bartending. EXPERIENCE Minimum Experience: - Minimum 5 years of experience in the Bar. BEHAVIORAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS 1. Good Communication Skills in Hindi & English (Writing and speaking both) 2. IT Skills (MS Word, MS Excel & PowerPoint) 3. Technically sound and adaptable as a good team player.
