Job Title : Sales Manager Tiles, Sanitaryware, bath fittings, Building materials, Construction chemicals Location: Chennai Experience: Minimum 10-12 years Industry: Tiles, Sanitaryware, bath fittings, Construction chemicals, building materials Trade/Dealers Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to oversee and drive the sales, marketing, and operational performance of our building materials for tiles, sanitaryware and multiple building /construction chemicals getting added to business. The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing a team, and building strong relationships with distributors, dealers, architects, and other key stakeholders. This role requires strategic leadership, business acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure sustainable growth and market expansion. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales and Business Development: Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Identify new business opportunities, markets, and channels to expand the tiles business. Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, architects, builders, and other stakeholders. Monitor competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the industry. 2. Team Management and Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional sales and marketing team to achieve individual and team goals. Set clear performance targets and provide regular feedback and coaching. Conduct training programs to enhance the teams product knowledge and selling skills. 3. Operational Management: Ensure smooth functioning of sales operations, including inventory management, order processing, and timely delivery. Collaborate with the supply chain and production teams to meet market demand. Address and resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely manner. 4. Marketing and Branding: Coordinate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities, trade shows, and events. Ensure proper brand positioning and visibility in the region. Collaborate with architects, designers, and builders to promote products and drive specifications. 5. Reporting and Analysis: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and prepare detailed reports for senior management. Track regional KPIs and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Provide insights and recommendations for improving sales and operational efficiency. Qualifications and Experience: Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field. MBA preferred. Experience: 10-12 years of experience in sales and operations, preferably in the Building materials, tiles, ceramics, or Construction chemicals industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing regional operations. Experience in handling a team and working with channel partners. Key Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strategic thinking and problem-solving mind-set. In-depth knowledge of the tiles or building materials industry. Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and data analysis. Preferred Attributes: Existing relationships with distributors, dealers, and key stakeholders in the sector. Ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
