Job Description

Avaloq Developer (Core Banking) — On-site, India
Industry: Banking & Financial Services — Core Banking Software Implementation, Customization, and Operational Support. This role sits at the intersection of product configuration, systems integration, and client-facing delivery for Avaloq-based banking solutions. On-site position in India working directly with banking teams to deliver stable, compliant, and high-performing Avaloq implementations.Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and configure Avaloq modules (forms, reports, scripts, and workflows) to meet client functional requirements and regulatory needs.
Implement and maintain integrations between Avaloq and third-party systems using SOAP/REST, XML, MQ connectors and mapping tools.
Perform data modelling and SQL/PL-SQL development for Avaloq database operations, batch jobs, and migration tasks.
Drive system testing, defect triage, and production support (L2/L3): root-cause analysis, fixes, and RCA documentation.
Participate in implementation phases—requirements, design, build, cutover, and hypercare—ensuring timely delivery to client timelines.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA, operations, and client stakeholders; produce clear technical documentation and handovers.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

3+ years hands-on Avaloq development experience (script, forms, reports, configuration) in a banking environment.
Strong proficiency in Avaloq Script/Avaloq Designer and core Avaloq product components (client, server, batch).
Experience with integrations (SOAP/REST, XML, message queues) and working knowledge of web services.
Solid SQL / PL/SQL skills and familiarity with database operations and performance tuning.
Comfortable in Unix/Linux environments, shell scripting, and basic operational tasks (deployments, logs, troubleshooting).
Excellent communication skills for direct client engagement and cross-functional teamwork; on-site availability in India.

Preferred

Avaloq certification or formal training and prior exposure to wealth management, payments or securities modules.
Experience in full lifecycle implementations (requirements to hypercare) and working within Agile/Scrum teams.
Familiarity with version control tooling, CI/CD practices, and automated testing frameworks.
