Job Title: Automotive Operations Manager – Post Sales Experience: 3-6 years Type: Full-time | On-site Industry: Automotive / Mobility / Used Vehicles About Company: Our client is a startup (backed by marquee Angels & VCs) uplifting the used two-wheeler market in India. With their full-stack model, they offer a seamless and trustworthy platform for buying and selling of used bikes. About the Role: We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Automotive Operations Manager to oversee post-sales operations in a fast-paced automotive environment. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless ownership transfer experience, managing external partners like RTO agents, challan vendors, banks , and ensuring operational excellence via data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities: Post-Sales Operations Management: Own and streamline the post-sale journey including RC (Registration Certificate) transfers, insurance handling, hypothecation removal, and challan resolution. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Liaise with external vendors and partners such as RTO agents, banks, insurance companies, and challan clearance vendors. Ensure SLAs are met and issues are resolved on time. Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the post-sales process and design SOPs to improve TAT (Turnaround Time), customer satisfaction, and compliance. Data & Dashboard Management: Create and manage dashboards to monitor KPIs related to post-sale workflows. Drive insights using Google Sheets, Excel (incl. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and dashboards. Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate record-keeping of all ownership transfer documentation and maintain compliance with regional RTO and banking guidelines. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Tech teams to ensure smooth handover of customer accounts post-sale. Requirements: 3-6 years of experience in automotive operations, vehicle delivery management , or related functions. Proven track record in managing post-sale ops including RC transfer, challan clearance, and liaising with banks. Excellent command over MS Excel, Google Sheets , and dashboard tools ; ability to analyze and present data meaningfully. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Understanding of automotive regulations, RTO compliance , and vehicle documentation preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience in a used-car platform, auto fintech, or auto services startup . Knowledge of state-wise RTO processes and timelines.
