About The Role
We are looking for a passionate, driven and highly motivated
Automation / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineer
with a
minimum of 5 years of experience
in industrial automation, robotics, and control systems. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing automated systems for manufacturing and production environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with robotics integration, PLC programming, and mechatronic systems, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Program and configure PLCs, human–machine interfaces, motion controllers, and industrial robots.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, control systems and vision systems to ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and optimisation of control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional design teams (mechanical, electrical, software, and production) for project execution.
- Perform system testing, validation, and documentation for automation projects.
- Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Continuously research and adopt emerging automation and robotics technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial experience in automation/mechatronics projects.
- Good understanding of mechatronic systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical control systems.
- Experience in industrial sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and servo/motion control.
- Proficiency in PLC programming & SCADA (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, or similar).
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety standards (ISO, CE, IEC, OSHA) related to robotics and automation.
- Willingness to learn, explore, and passion for hands-on work and automation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and effectively support the team.
- Proactively identify and propose solutions to technical challenges.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity to tinker with hardware.
Good To Have (Bonus Skills)
- Knowledge of Python, C/C++, or MATLAB for PC-based control interface.
- Exposure to IoT, Industry 4.0, and ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Familiarity with CAD or mechanical integration workflows.
- Experience in machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, OpenCV).
- Hands-on with additive manufacturing, cobots, or mobile robots (AMRs/AGVs).
