Key Responsibilities

• Lead Automation Strategy & Framework Development Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks aligned with project and organizational goals. Ensure frameworks support maintainability, scalability, and reusability.
• Test Automation Execution Own the complete automation lifecycle: requirement analysis, test scenario design, script development, execution, result analysis, and reporting.
• Selenium Expertise Develop, enhance, and debug automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, and related tools. Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, and UI test suites.
• Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with product managers, QA teams, developers, and DevOps engineers to define automation priorities and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Mentor junior automation engineers and set best practices across teams.
• Continuous Improvement & Quality Ownership Identify gaps in existing testing processes and propose automation-driven enhancements. Ensure automation execution is reliable, repeatable, and aligned with release cycles.
• Documentation & Reporting Maintain clear documentation for automation frameworks, processes, test cases, and execution reports. Track and present automation progress, coverage, and ROI to stakeholders.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with at least 4+ years in designing and building automation frameworks.
• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and related automation tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages used for automation (Java, Python, or similar).
• In-depth understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.
• Experience integrating automation test suites with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Experience with API automation, performance testing, or mobile testing is a plus.
• Ability to define automation metrics, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and manage small to mid-sized automation teams.
  

Preferred Attributes

• Exposure to cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Certifications in QA, Automation, or Selenium (optional but desirable)
