Automation Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, robotics, and control systems. The Automation Engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation systems that improve production efficiency and quality.
• Program and troubleshoot robotic systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize SolidWorks for modeling and simulation of automation components.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues in automated processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide system design.
• Implement vision inspection systems for quality control within automated processes.
• Collaborate with tooling engineers to develop effective tooling solutions for automation.
• Ensure compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards in all automation projects.
• Maintain documentation of automation processes, including specifications, procedures, and test results.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automation technologies.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for design and modeling purposes.
• Experience with robotics, including robot programming and integration.
• Familiarity with tooling design and implementation for automated systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Expertise in root cause analysis techniques for problem-solving in automation contexts.
• Knowledge of vision inspection systems for quality assurance applications.
• Understanding of CGMP regulations as they pertain to automated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with distributed control systems (DCS) is a plus.
