Why join us?The Integrations Database Administrator will play a critical role in designing, developing, andsupporting data integrations across a diverse landscape of systems, with a strong emphasis onMicrosoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). This role involves building andmaintaining robust SSIS pipelines, ensuring data integrity and performance, and supporting themigration of legacy integrations to modern orchestration platforms such as SnapLogic. Thepostholder will also contribute to the operational management of SQL Server environments,including patching, troubleshooting, and availability group administration. This is a predominantlyoffice based role with flexibility for occasional remote working.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between multiple systems using APIs or SQL Server Integration Services.
- Build, test, and troubleshoot SSIS integration pipelines.
- Migrate legacy integrations into a new API orchestration platform 'SnapLogic'.
- Migrate SSIS pipelines to and from alternative integration platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify integration requirements and develop solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
- Continuously monitor and improve the performance of integrations.
- Keep up to date with industry developments and trends in integration technologies.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Proven experience building and maintaining integrations between multiple systems using APIs or SQL Server Integration Services.
- Experience migrating legacy integrations into a new API orchestration platform 'SnapLogic'.
- Experience migrating SSIS pipelines to and from alternative integration platforms.
- At least junior-level experience as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator.
- Experience working with SQL Server versions 2012 through 2019.
- Experience patching and updating SQL Server instances.
Desirable
- Ability to articulate business and technical solutions to stakeholders who may not have technical knowledge.
- Familiarity with integration and orchestration platforms (e.g. SSIS, SnapLogic etc).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to create and maintain relevant documentation on any integration you design or
