Key Role Features • Monitor the performance, availability, security and compliance of our cloud-based systems and global network using various tools and dashboards and react to any alerts and alarms raised. • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks such as backups, patches, updates, and configuration changes. • Maintain, operate and support the HA on-premise Hyper-V infrastructure across the clusters. • Analyze and troubleshoot issues and incidents related to our cloud-based systems and escalate them as needed. • Optimize and improve our cloud-based systems by applying automation, scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency principles. • Respond to escalation and tickets using established process and within SLAs. • Answer phone call-based escalations and priority calls that have been triaged to the Cloud Management Centre Operations queue. • Manage and track assets from a technical operation standpoint ensuring they are part of the monitoring platform, under consistent management, and can be reported on. • Ensure assets and resources in Azure follow the properly agreed process for policy controls and are tagged correctly for cost and performance reporting. Required Technology Experience 5 - 10 of Exp as Senior System administrator / On-Premises Windows Server Administrator. • Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies like Hyper-V / VMware. • Working experience on Hyper-V, Hyper-V clusters, SCVMM, SCCM, SCOM, understanding of clustered storage and thin provisioning storage concepts. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and end-users. • Experience with enterprise grade backup and recovery tools. • Preferably, experience in cloud computing with Azure, including creation and maintenance of; virtual machines, storage, networking, security, databases, etc. • Familiar with infrastructure monitoring tools such as SCOM, Solarwinds, Azure Monitor • Experience with enterprise patching via SCCM or Qualys. • Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as PowerShell to automate tasks and actions where possible.
