Audit Associate

Summary/Objective:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for Senior Accountant duties on a professional level and works closely with House of Spices Inc., Senior Management and staff in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas of House of Spices Inc., India.

Roles and responsibilities -

1. Support audits in compliance with US GAAP, US Audit, and international accounting standards.
2. Support transactional audits, financial reviews, and system audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
3. Support preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and disclosures.
4. Evaluate and strengthen financial controls and internal processes to mitigate risks.
5. Ensure compliance with US Tax, International Tax, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
6. Collaborate with cross-border teams (US and others) for reporting, reconciliation, and audit deliverables.
7. Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy.
8. Maintain proper documentation, working papers, and audit trails for all reviews.
9. Experience in financial reporting, transactional audits, and internal controls.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance or equivalent qualification
2. 5 years of related experience
3. Reliable and detail oriented.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30pm to 4:30 am. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
