Customers use our platform to book services such as beauty treatments, haircuts, massage therapy, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting etc., all delivered in the comfort of their home and at a time of their choice. We promise our customers a high-quality, standardized and reliable service experience. To fulfill this promise, we work closely with our hand-picked service partners, enabling them with technology, training, products, tools, financing, insurance, and brand, helping them succeed and deliver on this promise.

Urban Company started out as UrbanClap in Nov 2014, when its founders, Abhiraj, Raghav and Varun realized that the home services industry was predominantly unorganized, fragmented and offline. Customers found it difficult to avail quality services in a convenient manner, and service professionals were struggling to make ends meet, having to rely upon several middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators. The founders felt that the industry was ripe for disruption, and launched Urban Company, with three key principles in mind:

Key Responsibilities

1. Data & Analytical

• Rigor Strong proficiency in SQL and comfort working with large datasets.
• Build and maintain dashboards on
  Jarvis for business visibility and decision-making.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify patterns, user behavior insights, and category bottle necks.
• Translate data into actionable strategies that move core metrics

2. Category Building & Growth

• Work in a zero-playbook environment — set up cadences, SOPs, and processes from scratch.
• Identify emerging trends, unlock growth levers, and shape the category roadmap.
• Own experiment pipelines across supply, demand, and ops; drive rapid iterations.
• Stay close to market realities to anticipate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

3. Marketing & Content Understanding

• Deep interest in modern consumer marketing, growth loops, and brand building.
• Keep a pulse on what’s trending and going viral — from reels to creators to culture.
• Collaborate on campaigns, messaging, and hyperlocal activation ideas rooted in insight and trend-spotting

4. On-Ground Hustle & People Skills

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
• Lead negotiations, crack society partnerships, and drive on-ground activations.
• Manage cross-functional workflows with efficiency and clarity

What We're Looking

• For1–2 years of experience in growth, analytics, consulting, category teams, or high-ownership roles.
• Strong analytical foundation; SQL proficiency is a must.
• A growth mindset — hungry, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A mix of structured problem-solving and creative/marketing in stinct.
• High ownership attitude — you treat the category like your own business
