Associate Test Lead

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage manual testing efforts across web, mobile, and API applications
• Participate in requirement calls, ask clarifying questions, and ensure proper requirement understanding
• Create, review, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Assign, track, and manage testing tasks within the QA team to ensure on-time delivery
• Provide leadership and mentorship to manual testers, ensuring best practices are followed
• Collaborate with product, QA, and development teams in Agile sprint planning and execution
• Suggest automation opportunities and collaborate with automation engineers to optimize coverage
• Understand existing automation frameworks and scripts, provide feedback, and support integration
• Conduct test demos, report results, and communicate status effectively with stakeholders and clients
• Participate in defect triage, provide impact analysis, and ensure quality delivery
  

Requirements

• B. Tech in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent degree
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in manual testing across web, mobile, and API platforms
• Experience in requirement analysis, client communication, and QA team leadership
• Strong knowledge of test management practices, Agile methodologies, and defect lifecycle
• Familiarity with automation frameworks (POM/BDD) and scripting in Java/Python/JavaScript
• Ability to suggest automation areas and collaborate effectively with automation engineers
• Experience in mentoring and managing junior testers
• Strong communication skills for client calls, demos, and cross-team collaboration
  

Good to Have Skills:

• Basic hands-on in Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration
• Familiarity with advanced test reporting and analytics (e.g., Allure, TestNG reports)
• Exposure to tools like Git/SVN, Jenkins, Docker
