Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for conducting market research to identify current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and emerging styles. You will need to analyse competitor products and pricing strategies to inform product development. Collaborating with design teams, you will develop new product lines and collections, ensuring alignment with market trends and brand strategy. Additionally, you will be involved in identifying and establishing relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize costs and quality. You will also need to develop and manage budgets for each product line or collection, monitor production costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market research to identify fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies - Collaborate with design teams to develop new product lines and collections - Identify and establish relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, negotiate contracts and pricing - Develop and manage budgets, monitor production costs, and implement cost-saving measures - Develop production schedules, coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery, and address any production delays - Set quality standards, conduct quality inspections, and provide feedback on sample development - Implement inventory control strategies, forecast demand, and plan production accordingly - Coordinate transportation, shipping, and delivery schedules to meet deadlines - Provide leadership and mentorship to a team, foster a collaborative work environment - Contribute to overall business and merchandising strategies, make informed decisions on product assortment and pricing - Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, provide updates on order status and production progress - Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards, monitor industry-specific certifications and standards - Address complex issues during production, propose solutions to improve efficiency - Track production and sales performance, analyze data for improvement and growth opportunities Qualifications Required: - Diploma preferred - 1 year of merchandising experience required Please note that the company benefits include a flexible schedule, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and provident fund.
