Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Associate Manager with a proven track record in leading public sector advisory, governance reform, and institutional strengthening and financing initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in government systems, municipal & public finance, digital infra enablement, and policy advocacy, along with the strategic acumen to pitch innovative solutions and scale our project portfolio across geographies.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of governance, transformation, and sustainable development, engaging directly with senior government stakeholders, multilateral agencies, and internal teams to design, implement, and manage impactful projects.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic & Business Development (30%)

  • Support in the portfolio growth of of public sector reforms and governance projects across various geographies of IPE Global focus.
  • Map opportunities and assess emerging sectoral trends; identify and pitch strategic business solutions to clients at the right time.
  • Embed public sector reform principles in project design—ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Actively lead or contribute to proposal development, including writing of technical approaches, project plans, and budgets.
  • Support in Engage in client acquisition efforts, participate in pre-bid meetings, and represent the organization at forums and stakeholder dialogues.

2. Project Management & Delivery (20%)

  • Support in end-to-end project management—ensuring delivery within scope, time, budget, revenue while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and output delivery aligned with objectives.
  • Keep track and monitor project performance, risks, and challenges; develop mitigation plans and ensure continuous learning and adaptation.

3. Policy, Research & Advisory (30%)

  • Conduct rigorous research and analysis on governance systems, socio-economic indicators, digital governance, and urban development trends.
  • Co-develop recommendations and reform roadmaps with government counterparts for long-term institutional impact.
  • Support development of innovative tools, frameworks, and IT-enabled governance solutions.

5. Reporting & Documentation (20%)

  • Prepare high-quality reports, knowledge products, and presentations for internal and external dissemination.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through publications, blog posts, and speaking engagements.


Qualification:


Experience Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience working in or with public sector institutions, consulting firms, think tanks, or multilateral organizations.
  • Strong understanding of public sector operations, institutional development, PPP models, urban reforms, and governance.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale development projects, writing successful proposals, and engaging with senior government stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to drive outcomes in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work across diverse geographies
