Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    He/she will be responsible for overseeing day to day project activities, pre-feasibility surveys, driving the Licensed Electrical Contractor (LEC) ecosystem, conducting governance meetings, and ensuring the successful execution of power connection projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, and a proven track record in project management.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Pre-Feasibility Survey: o Conduct power connection viability checks and assess the feasibility of proposed projects. o Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to initiate project processes effectively. PMC & LEC Ecosystem Management: o Drive the LEC ecosystem for power applications, ensuring timely issuance of demand notes and the release of power connections. o Collaborate with LEC representatives to facilitate smooth operations and adherence to timelines. Governance Meetings & Issue Resolution: o Organize and lead governance meetings with government entities and LEC stakeholders to address project-related concerns. o Proactively resolve issues that may impede project progress, ensuring alignment between all parties. Performance Monitoring: o Monitor the performance of LEC and related entities, analyzing metrics to identify areas of non-performance. o Escalate issues promptly to ensure accountability and adherence to service level agreement Project Coordination: o Collaborate with the project team to ensure the necessary electrical installations are completed for DISCOM site visits and power connection releases. o Facilitate communication between project teams and government entities to streamline operations. Invoice Certification: o Review and certify LEC invoices and Work Completion Certificates (WCC) to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. Cross-Functional Coordination: o Coordinate with various departments, including finance, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless processes leading to Purchase Order (PO) issuance. o Foster collaboration across teams to enhance project execution and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualifications: Graduation in Engineering (BE, B.Tech) •Proficiency in ERP systems, SAP etc •8 -10 years of experience in project management, government liaison, or regulatory affairs within the energy or utility sector. •Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with external stakeholders. •Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution. •Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
