Associate General Manager - Coal logistics & Ancillary Services

Purpose/Objective

The AGM - Section Head Domestic Coal Logistics & Ancillary Services role at Adani in Ahmedabad requires a seasoned professional with 20-25 years of experience in the Power/Energy industry. The position involves overseeing and managing the domestic coal logistics operations along with ancillary services to ensure efficient and effective supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize domestic coal logistics operations - Manage end-to-end supply chain activities related to coal transportation, storage, and distribution - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all logistics operations - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline logistics processes and improve efficiency - Lead a team of professionals to achieve operational targets and deliver high-quality services - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement - Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure uninterrupted coal supply - Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports related to logistics and ancillary services - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions - Contribute to the overall strategic objectives of the organization and participate in decision-making processes

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field - Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred Certification Required - Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent certification - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus Technical Skills - In-depth knowledge of domestic coal logistics operations - Proficiency in supply chain management principles and best practices - Experience with logistics software and systems for tracking and monitoring - Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations in the Energy industry - Financial acumen for budgeting and cost management
