The RTE facilitates key SAFe ceremonies, drives continuous improvement, manages cross-team dependencies, and fosters collaboration across teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep Agile and SAFe expertise, strong facilitation and leadership skills, and a metrics-driven mindset to ensure predictable and value-driven program execution.Your future duties and responsibilities
- Facilitation & Alignment
- Facilitate PI Planning (Program Increment Planning) sessions.
- Ensure teams, stakeholders, and Product Management are aligned.
- Maintain ART synchronization (Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, System Demos).
- Program Execution
- Help teams deliver value predictably.
- Remove impediments and manage risks.
- Track and report on metrics like velocity, predictability, and delivery health.
- Coaching & Leadership
- Coach leaders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and teams in Agile/SAFe practices.
- Foster relentless improvement and collaboration across teams.
- Metrics & Transparency
- Ensure visibility of progress at ART level.
- Track business value delivered, dependency management, and predictability.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Agile and SAFe frameworks (including key roles, ceremonies, artifacts, and principles).
- Proven experience in facilitating PI Planning and other ART-level events (Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, System Demos).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and resolve cross-team dependencies and risks.
- Servant leadership mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proficient in using Agile lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience tracking key Agile metrics (velocity, predictability, business value delivered).
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and relentless improvement culture.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple teams and priorities.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Understanding of DevOps practices.
- Exposure to Agile budgeting and forecasting in a scaled environment.
- Ability to facilitate across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
- Knowledge of Agile contracting models and working with vendors in Agile engagements.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial impact of delivery decisions.
- Familiarity with Change Management practices in enterprise environments.
- Experience with value stream mapping and optimizing flow across teams.
- Background in software development or technical project management is a plus.
- Experience participating in or leading Agile Transformations at scale.
- Certifications (often preferred):
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM)
