Associate Category Manager

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be a part of Aakash Category Management team. This team is responsible for streamlining & creating new categories that will spearhead the next wave of Aakash's business growth. We are looking for a Associate Category Manager to join our team! As a Associate Category Manager at Aakash, you will be responsible for managing an assigned group of products. You will be the one responsible for new product design, pricing, promotion & placement of the assigned product group with the goal to maximise revenue for the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handling the Category P&L management and assume responsibility for the growth of respective category.
• Developing the complete strategy for the assigned category to meet the organization goals.
• Creating new product formats/course designs in the category to drive sales and achieve targets.
• Streamline & rationalize existing product/course-mix & pricing to optimize scholarships & maximize revenue
• Research Competitors & Market for appropriate pricing, promotion & new course definitions. Followed by Post-facto analysis.
• Creates Central Intelligence around course offerings at the Branch-level that would become the part of business inputs for any technology-aided innovations.
• Work closely with Sales Teams to determine optimal pricing through analysis of sales trends, competitors & buying behavior to promote sales opportunities and find new ways of expanding product categories
• Business Analytics - data driven insights on ARPU, enrollments, renewal rates, course mix to drive overall portfolio growth. Ensuring the right business and student metrics are measured and insights are converted to growth programs.
• Cross-functional coordination with academics, product, marketing, sales, operational, financial and other related departments to support strategic and business goals
• Facilitate & support Sales team to achieve the category targets by helping them in solution-based selling productivity improvement.
• Development of reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends within business and competitive analysis
• Ensuring optimum utilization of the batch capacity by analyzing the ongoing trends across all branches and proposing solutions
• Solving day to day operational challenges like course setup issues, syncing issues, challenges related to concession setups, etc.

Qualification:

- B.Tech/B.E.from a premier Engineering college

- MBA preferable
