About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Assocaiate Category Manager – FMCG to drive the category growth strategy for a leading B2B online marketplace serving Kirana and retail partners across India. The role involves full ownership of the FMCG category P&L, customer experience, and assortment planning to ensure consistent topline and bottom-line growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category strategy, annual business plans, and monthly performance goals.
  
• Identify customer needs through data analysis, market visits, and competitive benchmarking.
  
• Drive category growth across regions by optimizing selection, pricing, and merchandising.
  
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to improve product discovery, conversion, and customer engagement.
  
• Define promotions and campaigns, track ROI, and ensure best-in-class pricing through continuous benchmarking.
  
• Work closely with supply chain and buying teams to ensure product availability and reduce slow/non-moving inventory.
  
• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing team across multiple cities.
  
• Own category-level profitability, pricing, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of total experience, including 1

  + years in category or P&L management

  in eCommerce or FMCG.
• Strong analytical, planning, and business acumen with advanced Excel proficiency.
  
• Hands-on experience working with product, marketing, and tech teams.
  
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Willingness to travel to field markets and interact with Kirana retailers.
  

Preferred:

• Experience in FMCG sales, brand marketing, or strategy consulting.
  
• SQL/R/Python skills.
  
• Passion for the food and grocery domain.
