What are we looking for:

As an Audit Associate, you will be part of the engagement team supporting audit and assurance services for clients in compliance with US GAAP, US GAAS, PCAOB standards, and regulatory requirements. This role provides the foundation for developing technical expertise, professional judgment, and client service skills in the field of public accounting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Gain foundational knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS, PCAOB, or AICPA standards.
  • Learn firm’s audit software and data analytics tools.
  • Understand industry-specific accounting and compliance requirements.
  • Deliver high quality audit work paper in all engagements with minimal review comments and within the timelines and budget
  • Execute assigned audit procedures under direct supervision.
  • Prepare accurate and well-organized workpapers.
  • Document audit evidence in compliance with firm methodology.
  • Perform substantive testing of account balances, transactions, and disclosures to verify accuracy and compliance.
  • Attention to detail & solution mindset and share thoughts with other team members
  • Research technical accounting and auditing issues and apply guidance appropriately.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet engagement deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
  • Communicate audit findings and observations to seniors and managers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and independence requirements.


Skill Set:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of auditing or equivalent experience in US Audits
  • Strong understanding of auditing principles and procedures
  • Assistance in Preparation of Draft Financial Statements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other audit tools
  • Experience with working independently on multiple assignments or engagements

Qualification:

  • Preferred Semi Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification/MCom
