About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistive Technology QA Lead to lead accessibility quality assurance efforts across web and mobile applications. This role will focus on WCAG 2.0/2.1 A/AA compliance, assistive technology validation, and cross-device testing, ensuring digital products are inclusive and meet regulatory standards.
As a QA lead, you will define accessibility test strategies, guide teams through manual and automated validation, and work closely with developers, product managers, and accessibility specialists to deliver high-quality, accessible user experiences.Key Responsibilities

  • Accessibility QA Leadership
  • Define, implement, and maintain accessibility QA strategy across projects.
  • Lead and mentor QA team members in assistive technology testing and WCAG compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed accessibility testing into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Assistive Technology Testing
  • Conduct manual validation using NVDA, JAWS, and keyboard-only navigation.
  • Perform smoke and regression testing for accessibility defects, across browsers and devices.
  • Validate color contrast, focus order, ARIA roles, and other critical accessibility attributes.
  • Automation & Test Management
  • Integrate accessibility checks into automation frameworks (Selenium, PyTest).
  • Use Zephyr or similar tools to manage test cases, execute test cycles, and track coverage.
  • Provide detailed accessibility defect reporting and collaborate with dev teams for remediation.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure deliverables align with WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA and Section 508 standards.
  • Produce accessibility QA reports, dashboards, and compliance evidence for stakeholders.
  • Partner with clients to support VPAT creation and accessibility documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
  • M.S. in Information Technology & Management (or equivalent).
  • Certifications:
  • IAAP CPWA (Certified Professional in Web Accessibility)
  • DHS Trusted Tester v5
  • ISTQB Certified Tester
  • Experience:
  • 12+ years in QA roles, with 5+ years focused on accessibility testing and leadership.
  • Proven track record of testing web-based platforms, mobile apps, and enterprise portals for accessibility compliance.

Technical Skills

  • Accessibility Testing: WCAG 2.0/2.1 A/AA, Section 508, ADA compliance
  • Assistive Technologies: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack
  • Testing Tools: WAVE, AChecker, BrowserStack, Chrome DevTools, Postman
  • Automation Frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, PyTest
  • Other: Zephyr for test case management, Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF validation

Preferred Experience

  • Leading QA for large-scale healthcare, education, or e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with cross-browser/device matrix testing using cloud tools (e.g., BrowserStack).
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing for responsive design and mobile-first solutions.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for delivering inclusive, user-centered solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹608,833.73 - ₹1,960,671.57 per year
