Role Overview:

The Assistant Store Manager / Cashier is responsible for ensuring smooth daily store operations, managing billing and payment processes, supporting customer service excellence, and assisting the Store Manager in driving sales and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the billing counter efficiently using POS software (Ginesys or similar).

• Handle all payment methods (cash, card, UPI, vouchers, credit notes) accurately.

• Issue invoices, refunds, and credit notes as per company policy.

• Maintain daily sales reports, cash register balance, and reconcile cash at day-end.

Customer Service

• Greet and assist walk-in clients during checkout and after-sales processes.

• Handle queries and resolve billing-related complaints in a professional manner.

• Ensure a smooth and delightful checkout experience for customers.

Store Operations & Support

• Supervise floor staff in absence of Store Manager.

• Monitor inventory movement, coordinate with stockroom for availability.

• Assist in visual merchandising and ensuring store cleanliness and readiness.

• Manage order tracking for custom and altered pieces.

Team & Performance

• Guide junior sales staff and support training as needed.

• Maintain discipline and ensure staff adherence to reporting times and grooming standards.

• Maintain strong communication with Store Manager and Head Office.

Requirements:

• Education: Graduate (Commerce/Business preferred)

• Experience: 2+ years in retail (fashion/jewellery preferred) with cashier or supervisory experience

• Skills:

• Strong knowledge of POS systems (Ginesys preferred)

• Basic Excel and report management

• Good communication in Hindi & English

• Customer handling and problem-solving ability

• High level of integrity and attention to detail

Work Timings:

11:00 AM – 9:30 PM (Store Hours)
