Assistant Restaurant Manager

An Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager by overseeing daily operations, including staff supervision and training, inventory management, customer service, and financial record-keeping to ensure a positive guest experience and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities also include enforcing health and safety regulations, managing scheduling and payroll, handling complaints, and contributing to the restaurant's profitability. Key Responsibilities

• Staff Management:Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule restaurant staff, providing guidance and performance feedback to ensure efficient service.
• Customer Service:Handle customer inquiries and complaints, striving to provide exceptional service and a positive dining experience.
• Operational Oversight:Assist with the smooth running of daily operations, including managing inventory, placing orders, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Financial Management:Manage cash transactions, maintain accurate financial records, assist with payroll, and contribute to inventory control and budget management to maximize profitability.
• Health & Safety Compliance:Ensure the restaurant adheres to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
• Inventory & Supply Management:Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and assist with ordering supplies and equipment to meet restaurant needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience:Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Leadership:Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Communication:Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills to interact effectively with staff and customers.
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in operational processes, inventory management, scheduling, and financial record-keeping.
• Availability:Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the role often requires flexibility to cover various shifts.
