Experience: 5-8 yearsJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer specializing in MEPF systems for interior fitout projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in overseeing the installation, coordination, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems in commercial and corporate interior environments.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily on-site MEPF installation activities for interior fitout projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Interpret and implement MEP drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Coordinate with other trades, subcontractors, and project team members to ensure seamless integration of MEPF systems with architectural and structural elements. Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks on MEPF installations. Identify and resolve technical issues related to MEPF systems, proposing solutions to the project manager as needed. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards for MEPF installations. Monitor and report on the progress of MEPF works, preparing detailed technical reports. Assist in the preparation and updating of MEPF-related project schedules. Manage material and equipment requisitions for MEPF systems, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage. Participate in testing and commissioning of MEPF systems, ensuring they meet performance requirements. Collaborate with the project manager in handling RFIs, submittals, and change orders related to MEPF works. Mentor junior MEPF team members, providing technical guidance and support.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. 5-8 years of progressive experience in MEPF site engineering for interior fitout projects. Strong knowledge of MEPF systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection. Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Solid understanding of building automation systems and smart building technologies. Experience with energy-efficient design and sustainable MEP practices. Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions on-site. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse project stakeholders. Proficiency in using MEP-specific software tools and familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling).Desired Skills:Relevant professional certifications (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP, or specific MEP certifications). Experience with commissioning and testing of complex MEPF systems. Knowledge of renewable energy systems and their integration into commercial interiors. Familiarity with acoustic considerations in MEP design and installation. Experience in retrofitting MEPF systems in occupied spaces. Understanding of cost control and budget management specific to MEP works.
