Job Summary The Assistant Manager, Operations will support the Operations Manager in managing day-to-day operations, enhancing business processes, and supervising team activities. This role plays a critical part in optimizing workflow, improving productivity, and ensuring alignment with the company's operational goals. Key Responsibilities 1. Daily Operations Management Oversee and support daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes Coordinate with internal teams to maintain consistent workflows and resolve bottlenecks Ensure tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards 2. Team Supervision and Development Provide guidance, training, and resources to support team members Conduct regular team check-ins and performance discussions Assist with onboarding and professional development of new team members 3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting Track and analyze key performance metrics Generate regular reports to evaluate operational effectiveness Collaborate with the Operations Manager to set and monitor performance targets 4. Process Improvement Identify areas for operational improvement Support implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies Use team feedback and data analysis to drive process enhancements 5. Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards Conduct audits and quality checks Address and resolve quality-related issues in coordination with relevant teams 6. Resource and Inventory Management Monitor and manage resources and inventory Coordinate procurement and timely restocking Optimize resource usage to control costs 7. Customer Satisfaction and Service Quality Assist with handling customer issues and service-related concerns Escalate critical issues to the Operations Manager Ensure delivery of high service standards 8. Budgeting and Cost Control Monitor department expenses and recommend cost-saving strategies Track spending to ensure budget compliance Support the Operations Manager in budget preparation and forecasting 9. Health, Safety, and Compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations Conduct safety training and audits Work with compliance teams to implement regulatory changes 10. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with HR, Finance, Sales, and other departments Act as a liaison to ensure smooth communication and execution Support company-wide initiatives that impact operations Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, with leadership or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of operational principles and performance tracking Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or CRM systems Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Additional Skills: Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation abilities Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies (preferred) Adaptability in fast-paced environments Experience with budgeting and cost control (advantageous)
