Assistant Manager PSM

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee and optimize the sourcing and purchasing processes for projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and a keen understanding of project timelines, materials, and vendor negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and budgets.
• Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers.
• Coordinate with design, project management, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor market trends to identify new suppliers and alternative materials that meet design and cost criteria.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain and update procurement documentation including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier records.
• Manage import/export procedures and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Optimize inventory levels and ensure cost efficiency without compromising design intent.
• Oversee procurement budgets and report on cost-saving initiatives and variances.
• Getting a minimum of 3 comparative quotes for getting best rates.
• Regular communication with the internal stakeholders regarding the procurement process.
• Process orientation to ensure each monthly audit or Purchase and vendor management passes without observations.
• Cross-checking with the internal customers when abnormal material/job quantity is observed in the PRs.
• Ensuring timely submission of invoices/bills from the vendors to finance.
• Identify vulnerabilities and redundancies in the supply chain.
• Interaction with the suppliers and agreement on expectations for C metrics.
• Good Understanding of PI/PO/Invoice processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration with MBA.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in vendor/subcontractor management, procurement and financial management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, MS Excel).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
