Assistant Manager - Process Engineering

Vehicle Assembly & Manufacturing Process Engineer Key Responsibilities: Product Feasibility & Process Flow Analysis Study and analyze product feasibility for vehicle assembly. Provide feedback to R&D for design improvements. Conduct simulations using Delmia and finalize tools configuration. Assembly Process Planning Plan assembly processes for trims, chassis, and final assembly digitally. Design assembly fixtures and small tools using conceptual knowledge and sequence planning. Integrate different functional areas for vehicle assembly projects. Manufacturing Strategy & Implementation Implement global manufacturing strategies, especially BOP (Bill of Process) and BOE (Bill of Equipment). Provide functional area deliverables including manufacturing processes. Identify and resolve issues to ensure process-driven product designs and manufacturable parts. Prepare manufacturing strategy for new product development. Budgeting & Product Understanding Perform basic budgeting based on product assumptions and process synergies. Understand new products using PALS (Product Assembly Line Study) and PDB (Product Data Book). Simulation & Feedback Conduct simulation studies to provide real-time feedback to designers. Conduct virtual builds to detect issues upfront and provide corrective feedback. Process Planning & Documentation Lead development of process planning, documentation, and process sheets. Ensure digitization and standardization of all project activities. Logistics & Layout Develop line layouts and lineside logistics for vehicle assembly. Skills Required: Expertise in digital manufacturing tools like Delmia. Strong knowledge of assembly process planning and fixture/tool design. Understanding of manufacturing strategies (BOP, BOE). Ability to conduct simulation studies and virtual builds. Knowledge of budgeting, PALS, PDB, and process-driven product design. Strong documentation, standardization, and cross-functional integration skills.
