Job Summary

The Assistant HR Manager supports the HR Manager in implementing and managing human resources policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the effective functioning of the HR department. This role is particularly focused on recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and workforce development tailored to the textile industry’s needs.

Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Assist in manpower planning in coordination with department heads.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for factory and office positions (staff, supervisors, operators).
  • Collaborate with vocational institutes and labor contractors for skilled manpower.

2. Employee Onboarding & Induction

  • Conduct orientation programs for new hires.
  • Ensure timely issuance of appointment letters, ID cards, and necessary documentation.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Maintain healthy relations between management and workers.
  • Address grievances promptly, especially regarding working conditions, wages, or compliance.
  • Organize employee welfare programs, events, and recognition initiatives.

4. Performance Management

  • Assist in setting up KPI systems and conducting appraisals.
  • Track performance of key production staff and suggest training needs.

5. Training & Development

  • Coordinate skill-development programs, especially for machine operators, QC staff, and supervisors.
  • Arrange compliance and safety training sessions.

6. HR Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, health & safety regulations, and compliance audits.
  • Maintain proper records for statutory requirements (PF, ESI, gratuity, overtime, leave).

7. Payroll & Attendance

  • Oversee attendance tracking, leave management, and coordinate with payroll teams.
  • Verify overtime sheets and ensure timely wage disbursement.

8. HR Data & Reporting

  • Maintain HRMIS/HR records for employees.
  • Prepare HR reports for management review (attrition, absenteeism, recruitment status).
