Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met. The Assistant Chef will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, menu planning, and team management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
• Support menu planning and ensure that all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
• Oversee food production processes to maintain consistency and quality across all offerings.
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
• Assist in catering events and banquets as required, ensuring timely service delivery.
• Participate in shift management to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.

Skills

• Proven experience in food production and kitchen management within the food industry.
• Strong culinary skills with experience in fine dining or restaurant settings.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations, including proper food handling techniques.
• Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising or managing kitchen staff.
• Proficient in inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels.
• Ability to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while maintaining quality standards.
• Experience in catering services, banquet preparation, or similar roles is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration within a busy kitchen environment.
