Assembly Shop Manager

Location: Khopoli, Mumbai, Maharashtra

As the Assembly Shop Manager, you will oversee and optimize the assembly & testing operations for our downhole completion and artificial lift products. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, while leading a skilled technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Assembly Operations: Supervise day-to-day activities on the shop floor, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient assembly.
• Drive Testing Excellence: Oversee functional and performance testing of downhole completion equipment and artificial lift systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure Quality: Implement and monitor QA/QC processes, maintaining the highest levels of product reliability.
• Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and inspire assembly technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Production Planning: Develop and manage production schedules aligned with customer timelines and project goals.
• Inventory Control: Track and manage critical materials and components to avoid delays and shortages.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, implement lean manufacturing practices, and drive efficiency while reducing costs.
• Safety Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to HSE standards and policies.
• Performance Reporting: Track key metrics (production, quality, downtime) and present progress updates to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in assembly & testing of downhole completion equipment and artificial lift systems, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Oil & Gas completion tools, artificial lift equipment, and industry standards.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, delegate effectively, and build high-performance culture.
• Planning & Problem Solving: Proficiency in production planning, root cause analysis, and quality control systems.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for cross-team and client coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
