About This Role
We are seeking an experienced AS400 Support Engineer to manage business-as-usual (BAU) application support activities on the AS400 platform. Based at our EON, Pune location, this role involves system operations, user profile management, and coordination with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in AS400 systems and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
What You Will Do
- Manage daily operations and administration of AS400 systems.
- Execute and monitor various job types including autostart, prestart, communication, and batch jobs.
- Create and manage user profiles, ensuring appropriate access controls.
- Apply working knowledge of CL (Control Language) and AS400 commands.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Utilise ITIL framework and defect management tools such as JIRA or BMC Remedy.
- Support continuous improvement and error-free delivery of services.
Who You Are
- Proficient in AS400 system operations and administration.
- Skilled in Control Language (CL), DB2, and RPA.
- Familiar with job scheduling and monitoring on AS400.
- Exposure to RPG and IBM mainframe is advantageous.
- Understanding of telecom domain applications is desirable.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience with ticketing tools.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
