Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven, and highly motivated Area Sales Manager to lead our sales operations in the Khandeshi region of Maharashtra. Based in Nashik, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, managing distribution networks, and leading a sales team (if applicable) for our Ghee and other dairy products within the assigned territory. This role requires a strong understanding of the retail market and a proven track record in the Ghee or broader Food FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and market share objectives for the Khandeshi region.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, expanding the distribution network to cover untapped markets.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, providing insights for product and sales strategy.
  • Channel Management:
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts (supermarkets, hypermarkets, traditional trade) to ensure optimal product placement and visibility.
  • Monitor distributor performance, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely deliveries, and adherence to company policies.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with trade partners to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Team Leadership & Development (if applicable):
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives or officers to ensure high performance and adherence to sales objectives.
  • Conduct regular field visits to support the team, monitor market activities, and provide on-the-job coaching.
  • Promotions & Marketing:
  • Implement and monitor trade marketing activities, promotional campaigns, and merchandising initiatives to drive sales and enhance brand presence.
  • Ensure effective utilization of marketing materials and point-of-sale displays.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive sales experience in the Ghee Retail Market or related Food FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong understanding of distribution channels, retail operations, and trade marketing in Maharashtra.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating a sales team (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, travel extensively within the Khandeshi region, and be based in Nashik.
  • Fluency in Marathi and English is essential; knowledge of Hindi is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
