We are looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee and expand the distribution of solar products in the designated state. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar sales, business development, and distribution management, with experience in the solar industry or related fields. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing solar product distribution across multiple districts, driving sales growth, expanding the channel network, and leading a team of sales representatives to achieve business objectives.
· Solar Distribution Management: Develop and execute effective strategies for distributing solar products, including on-grid inverters, off-grid inverters, solar panels, and related solutions, ensuring product availability and visibility in the market.
· Channel Network Expansion: Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners, distributors, and dealers across the designated districts to grow the company's distribution network and expand market reach.
· Sales Target Achievement: Drive sales growth by achieving sales targets, ensuring alignment with company objectives, and optimizing sales operations across the assigned region.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team in the assigned districts. Provide coaching and support to help team members reach sales targets and enhance their performance.
· Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Use these insights to refine sales strategies and ensure the company remains competitive.
· Customer Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, distributors, dealers, and customers to ensure long-term business success and customer satisfaction.
· Training and Support: Provide ongoing training to channel partners and sales team members to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
· Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales performance reports, market intelligence, and competitor analysis to the Regional Sales Manager.
· Techno-Commercial Expertise: Stay updated on the latest trends in solar technology, products, and industry standards to provide valuable insights to customers and channel partners.
· Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
· Experience: 5-8 years of experience in sales, business development, and distribution management, preferably within the solar industry or related sectors.
· Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of solar products, including on-grid inverters, off-grid inverters, solar panels, and other related solar solutions. Experience in the PV industry is a strong advantage.
o Proven track record in managing channel networks and expanding distribution.
o Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
o Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating a sales team.
o Strong analytical skills with a keen understanding of market trends and competitor activities.
o Ability to build and nurture relationships with distributors, dealers, and customers.
o Techno-commercial acumen with a solid understanding of solar technologies.
o Results-oriented and performance-driven.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
o Fluent in English and the local language of the assigned state.
o Willingness to travel within the assigned state as required.
