Job Summary:

We are looking for a high-energy Area Sales Manager (ASM) with deep experience in telecom/broadband/IPTV sales to lead Skyplay’s regional growth. This role demands a go-getter and team builder who thrives on targets, drives channel partner expansion, and has a sharp eye for customer acquisition in competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities

Market Penetration: Build and maintain a strong database of potential customers, influencers, and channel partners across Greater Chennai.

Channel Partner Network: Appoint, develop, and drive performance of channel partners, distributors, and resellers for rapid business scale-up.

Sales Delivery: Own sales numbers — consistently meet/exceed subscriber acquisition and revenue growth targets.

Go-to-Market Strategy: Translate packaging, pricing, and promotions into simple and compelling sales propositions for partners and end-users.

Regional Marketing Execution: Align with central marketing to design localized campaigns that connect with regional audiences.

Distribution Model: Create penetration models enabling market outreach from metros to tier-2/3 cities and rural belts.

Team Leadership: Mentor and manage sales executives, ensuring productivity, accountability, and motivation at all levels.

Candidate Profile (Who You Are):

Must-have experience: 5–7 years in telecom, broadband, DTH, or IPTV sales; 2–3 years managing sales teams.

Track record: Demonstrated ability to scale business and beat sales targets in competitive regions.

Channel expertise: Strong at building partner ecosystems and distribution models at regional/state level.

Communication & Leadership: Excellent influencing skills, networking ability, and team leadership qualities.

Industry Understanding: Solid knowledge of Broadband/IPTV/OTT industry dynamics, consumer behavior, and regional nuances.

Tech affinity and data-driven decision-making skills are a big plus.
