Network Associate : Network associates Need For L1, Support typically have a wide range of responsibilities , which can include Installing and configuring network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points Excellent communication and documentation skills Troubleshooting network problems by analyzing data from logs and other sources to identify the cause of the issue Installing and configuring computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows or Linux Maintaining network equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks such as replacing failed components or updating software Providing technical support for computer networks by answering user questions about hardware or software issues Installing and configuring telecommunication equipment such as modems, routers, and other hardware devices Installing and configuring computer applications such as email programs, word processing software, or operating systems Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points Installing new network equipment and integrating existing network components into a cohesive system Performs routine network maintenance i.e. network servers, routers and switches. Creates new users and associated file access rights. Identifies and resolves computer and network problems. Performs a variety of duties in the monitoring, installation, testing, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software and system or application upgrades. Installs cabling and wiring for systems, telecommunication systems and peripheral equipment. Conducts repairs and maintains preventative maintenance schedules for application, network and access services. Conducts troubleshooting on assigned user rights, file access, security settings, server and server communication, and enterprise print systems. Conducts system and database backups as necessary; Provides assistance to information systems staff in the evaluation, selection, acquisition and implementation of computer hardware and software. Monitors antivirus definition updates for servers/desktops. Provides technical training to end users. CCNA/CCNP certification preferred.
