Area Manager West *(Preferred only from Cinemas) *

Overview

As an Area Manager in the cinema industry, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing multiple cinema locations within the west region. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient operation and profitability of each cinema within your jurisdiction. You'll be tasked with managing a team of theatre managers, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards, and driving excellent customer experiences.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

• Monitor and supervise the day-to-day operations of multiple cinema locations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with theater managers to address any operational challenges and implement solutions promptly.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage budgets for each cinema location, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Analyze financial performance metrics and take corrective actions as necessary to maximize profitability.
• Oversee inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and minimizing wastage.

Staff Management:

• Recruit, train, and mentor theater managers and other staff members within your area.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational requirements and maintain service standards.

Customer Experience:

• Champion a culture of exceptional customer service across all cinema locations.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement initiatives to enhance the overall moviegoing experience.
• Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.

Sales and Marketing:

• Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and implement promotional campaigns and initiatives.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to maximize revenue per customer visit.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all cinema locations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect customers and staff.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any safety hazards.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators, financial metrics, and operational performance.
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in cinema management or a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
