Architectural Draughtsman

General Purpose of the Position: This role is to accurately translate architectural designs, concepts, sketches, and specifications provided by our Architects into high-quality, detailed technical drawings. To draft and prepare the area statements and to check technical feasibility for business development projects. To support execution team for the changes in drafting as per site conditions i.e. project wise Functional Areas : Develop detailed architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, seating layouts, lobby designs, concession areas, restrooms, and projection room layouts based on designs provided by the Architect. Prepare detailed drawings for interior elements, joinery, finishes, fixtures, and specialized cinema equipment integration. Ensure all drawings are accurate, dimensionally correct, and adhere to company standards and architectural best practices. To develop final coordinated drawings for the execution of the project Utilize AutoCAD (latest versions) proficiently to create precise 2D drawings. Knowledge of 3D modelling software (like SketchUp, Revit, or 3ds Max) is mandatory. Functional Areas Responsibilities . Work closely with Architects, Project Managers, and Engineers (Structural, MEP) to ensure designs are well-coordinated and constructible. Incorporate revisions and modifications based on feedback from the design and project teams. Assist in coordinating architectural drawings with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and structural drawings to avoid clashes. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Indian building codes (NBC), local municipal byelaws, safety regulations, and accessibility standards applicable to multiplexes/cinemas. Maintain consistency in drawing standards, layering, notation, and file management across all projects. Experience in creating Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings. Experience in preparing drawings for statutory body approvals. Basic knowledge of MEP and structural concepts for coordination purposes. Proficiency in 3D modelling software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp). Documentation: Organize and maintain a library of standard drawings, details, and project files. Prepare drawing sets for tender documents, construction issue, and authority submissions. Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings upon project completion. Perform self-checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards before submission for review. Qualifications Details: Diploma or ITI Certificate in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Architectural Draughtsmanship from a recognized institution Soft Skills: AutoCAD drawings 2D / 3D views etc. Design and drawing Skills, Knowledge of Building regulation acts and quality standards Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
