Area Manager - Retail Sales

You are seeking an Area Manager Decorative Sales to be a part of our team based in Chennai. In this full-time hybrid role, you will be responsible for driving retail and secondary sales within the decorative coatings segment. Your main objective will be to establish and nurture strong relationships with painting contractors, architects, dealers, and retailers to facilitate market expansion and boost sales in the designated region. Additionally, you will be tasked with leading a sales team, formulating effective sales strategies, spotting new business prospects, and achieving set sales objectives. Your responsibilities will include managing and fostering retail/secondary sales by cultivating robust connections with painting contractors, architects, dealers, and retailers. You will be required to devise and execute efficient sales strategies to enhance market presence, drive business development by pinpointing fresh opportunities and escalating market share, guide and empower a sales team to meet sales targets in the decorative coatings segment, collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless implementation of sales plans, and scrutinize market trends and customer requirements to stimulate sales growth. To qualify for this role, you must possess demonstrated experience in retail/secondary sales within the decorative coatings/paint industry. Your proficiency should extend to networking with painting contractors, architects, and dealers, as well as expertise in sales strategy development and business expansion. Furthermore, strong leadership and team management abilities are essential, along with the capacity to analyze market trends, comprehend customer needs, effective communication skills, and a solid understanding of coatings and paints industry trends. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is also required.
