Job Summary: The Architectural Draftsman / CAD Technician is responsible for producing detailed architectural drawings and construction documents using CAD software. This role supports architects, engineers, and project managers in translating design concepts into technical drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate architectural drawings, floor plans, sections, elevations, and details using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software. Assist in the preparation of municipal and statutory approval drawings as per DCPR 2034 / UDCPR 2020 and other local by-laws. Coordinate with design teams to incorporate structural, MEP, and client requirements into architectural plans. Create presentation drawings, working drawings, and submission sets for new developments, redevelopments, and interior projects. Revise drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, and consultants. Maintain drawing logs, sheet indexes, and ensure timely delivery of documentation as per project deadlines. Conduct basic site visits (if required) to verify dimensions and assist with redlining or as-built drawings. Stay updated with architectural drafting standards, building codes, and CAD practices. Required Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or ITI in Architectural Drafting / Civil Drafting or equivalent. Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM software is an advantage. Strong understanding of construction drawings, building terminology, and design documentation. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Experience: 2–5 years of experience as a Draftsman / CAD Technician in an architectural firm or construction company. Experience with high-rise, SRA, redevelopment, or township projects is preferred. Familiarity with municipal approval processes in Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Maharashtra is a plus.
