Job Title -Aptitude Trainer

Prof K. R Sundararajan, a well-known educationalist established the I.I.E.T society in 1947. The total area of 14 acres purchased with enormous hardship was donated to the IIET Society to further the cause of education. The society’s main objective is to give quality education and has ensured this uninterrupted since 1951. The society currently has the following institutions:-

1. Meenakshi College For Women established in 1975 & affiliated to University of Madras offering Arts & Science programs with about 3000 plus students.

2. Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College established in 2001 & affiliated to Anna University offering engineering programs with about 2000 plus students.

3. Meenakshi Sundararajan School of Management established in 2000 & affiliated to University of Madras offering MBA programs with about 120 plus students.

4. The NEST School established in 2022 offering IB (International Baccalaureate) & CAIE (Cambridge) boards.

All of the institutions have earned an enviable name and are rated as one among Top 10 colleges in the Tamil Nadu state in their respective programs. Efforts are on to make the campus carbon neutral in 2 years (end of 2025) by using our community of staff and students.

Job Summary

The Aptitude Trainer will train students in quantitative, logical, and verbal aptitude to enhance their employability and prepare them for campus placements, competitive examinations, and industry assessments.

Core Roles & Responsibilities

A. Training & Delivery

• Conduct classroom and lab sessions on Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Aptitude, and Analytical Skills.
• Design and deliver placement-focused training modules.
• Prepare students for company-specific tests, mock interviews, and group discussions.
• Teach short tricks, problem-solving techniques, and time-management strategies.

B. Assessment & Monitoring

• Conduct periodic assessments, practice tests, and mock exams.
• Analyze student performance and maintain attendance & progress reports.
• Provide individual support and mentoring for weak learners.

C. Curriculum & Content

• Develop course materials: worksheets, PPTs, online tests, question banks.
• Update training content according to changing industry recruitment patterns.
• Coordinate with the Placement Cell for test pattern research & industry inputs.

D. Placement Support

• Prepare students for recruitment drives by leading practice sessions.
• Assist in pre-placement training, career guidance programs, and model tests.
• Support in conducting placement-related workshops, seminars & boot camps.

E. Coordination & Administration

• Collaborate with departments, placement officers & recruiters.
• Maintain discipline, training records, and student feedback reports.
• Participate in planning of training calendars and event scheduling.

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum Master’s Degree (MBA / M.Sc. Mathematics / M.A. / B.Tech with training certification preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Aptitude/Placement Training in Higher Education Sector.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Logical Reasoning
• Verbal Ability & Communication Skills
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Techniques
• Certification in Soft Skills / Aptitude Training / Career Coaching is an added advantage.

Pay: From ₹250,000.00 per month
