About Us

Prof K. R Sundararajan, a well-known educationalist established the I.I.E.T society in 1947. The total area of 14 acres purchased with enormous hardship was donated to the IIET Society to further the cause of education. The society’s main objective is to give quality education and has ensured this uninterrupted since 1951. The society currently has the following institutions:-

1. Meenakshi College For Women established in 1975 & affiliated to University of Madras offering Arts & Science programs with about 3000 plus students.

2. Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College established in 2001 & affiliated to Anna University offering engineering programs with about 2000 plus students.

3. Meenakshi Sundararajan School of Management established in 2000 & affiliated to University of Madras offering MBA programs with about 120 plus students.

4. The NEST School established in 2022 offering IB (International Baccalaureate) & CAIE (Cambridge) boards.

All of the institutions have earned an enviable name and are rated as one among Top 10 colleges in the Tamil Nadu state in their respective programs. Efforts are on to make the campus carbon neutral in 2 years (end of 2025) by using our community of staff and students.

Job description

1. Visitor Management : Controlling entry and exit points, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises

2. Material Movement : Record incoming/outgoing materials, including quantity, description, and supplier information.

3. Maintenance of Registers / Records : Visitor Register, Incident Register, Key Register, Patrol Register, Access Control Register, Lost and Found Register, Security Personnel Register, Equipment Register, Complaint Register, Training Register and etc.

4. Patrolling and Surveillance : Monitoring premises to prevent and detect suspicious activities, crimes, or security breaches

5. Emergency Response : Responding to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, such as fires, medical issues, or security threats

6. Crowd Control: Managing large groups of people during events or in public areas.

7. Investigations: Conducting initial investigations into incidents, gathering evidence, and reporting findings

8. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to security protocols, regulations, and laws.

9. Communication: Collaborating with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal stakeholders

10. Training and Drills: Participating in training exercises and drills to maintain preparedness.

11. Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of incidents, events, and security activities.

12. Customer Service: Providing assistance and information to visitors, employees, or the public.

13. Vulnerability Assessment: Identifying potential security risks and recommending measures to mitigate them.

14. Enforcement: Enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to maintain a secure environment.

15. Disposal : Record disposal of scrap or obsolete materials.

16. Hostel Security : Close monitoring of the safety and security of the hostel

17. Monitoring CCTV : Monitoring CCTV feeds to prevent any adverse event from happening – Emphasis is on proactively stopping the incident from progressing rather than reacting to an incident

18. Full & Final responsibility of the Security and Safety of the campus at all times

19. Liaison with government authorities

20. Ensure a smoke, drug and alcohol free campus at all times

21. Special emphasis on School Student safety

22. Implement measures for Anti Ragging, POSH and POCSO acts.

23. Ensure strict adherence to all applicable government norms on safety and security

24. Ensure presence at all times and ensure resolution of any issues that might arise in the campus

25. Ensure presence at the campus until resolution of all issues that may arise

26. Community and neighborhood engagement

27. Ensure all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements in regards to safety and security is implemented and complied with.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
