Application Support Engineer

Job Purpose

· Responsible for managing and managing end-to-end environment and upstream/downstream activities for FM Converge (FMC) – bank’s Treasury trading platform. The role demands thorough knowledge of Windows Server 2022, SQL Server 2022, Apache Tomcat 9.x, Java, Log analysis, and coordination of upstream/downstream. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring quality, accuracy, and performance of solutions delivered by the Treasury Technology function.

· The position requires an experienced and quality-oriented professional who can work closely with business users, developers, support teams, and vendors to validate, deploy and manage environments and ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan, manage, and execute Environment activities for FM Converge (FMC) platform and related upstream/downstream systems.

· Review business and system requirements to manage the environment covering functional flows, system interfaces, and data validations.

· Coordinate with business, support, and development teams to understand business flows and dependencies.

· Perform root cause analysis for issues identified during deployment and work with development teams for resolution.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of environment processes, tools, and automation frameworks.

· Participate in daily status calls, defect triage meetings, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

· Ensure environment deadlines are met with high quality deliverables, aligned with project timelines.

· Support post-production deployment validations and early life support (Warranty Phase).

· Accurate test data setup and management across integrated environments.

· Effective communication with stakeholders for requirement clarification, issue resolution and testing updates.

· Active participation in project lifecycle activities – requirements review, test planning, release planning and cutover rehearsals.

Operating Environment, Framework and Relationships

· Work collaboratively with development, support, infrastructure, and business teams.

· Operate within the governance frameworks of the bank’s IT delivery lifecycle and testing methodologies.

· Adhere to information security policies, change management, and testing protocols.

· Participate in defect triage and daily stand-up meetings.

· Maintain compliance with regulatory and audit requirements for test traceability and coverage.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

· 5–7 years of experience in environment management across banking or financial domain, preferably treasury systems.

· Good understanding of treasury platforms like FM or similar platforms.

· Working knowledge of APIs, messaging protocols (MQ, FIX), and file-based integrations.

· Strong analytical and documentation skills.

· Ability to work in agile and waterfall environments.

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

· Prior experience in end-to-end environment management for enterprise trading applications is a strong advantage.

· Excellent communication and coordination skills with cross-functional and offshore teams.
