Job Description App Developer Who we are Verona is an authenticated matchmaking community designed exclusively for the modern, global Indian. Verona was founded by two serial entrepreneurs Mr. Poshak Agrawal and Mr. Rahul Subramaniam, and backed by some of the biggest names in global technology, such as Mr. Michael Novogratz (ex-Fortress Investment Group, CEO of Galaxy Group Investments) & Mr. Rishi Jaitly (ex-Twitter CEO for Asia, Middle East, and Africa). Security and Science make the basis of Verona where before matchmaking there will be Fintech-grade authentication to ensure fraud detection. Through a deep appreciation for the science of compatibility, with Verona, we will be using AI for matchmaking based on an individual's core & shared values. The 3 S’s of Verona - Standards, Security, and Science Role Brief We are looking for an App Developer who is passionate about mobile technology and eager to grow in a fast-paced, product-focused environment. You'll be working alongside experienced engineers, designers, and product managers to build and maintain the Verona mobile app across iOS and Android. Key Responsibilities: 1 . App Development Support Own the design, development, and maintenance of Verona’s mobile app using React Native. Build smooth UI/UX experiences across devices. Perform code reviews and assist in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Ensure the mobile app is responsive, reliable, and provides a seamless user experience across multiple devices and platforms 2 . Backend & API Integration Work alongside backend engineers to integrate APIs (REST/GraphQL) into the mobile app. Ensure that the backend architecture scales to handle large volumes of app traffic with minimal latency. Ensure secure data handling and management, with robust practices for authentication, authorization, and encryption. 3 . App Performance & Testing Assist in improving app load times, responsiveness, and reliability. Conduct regular testing, debugging, and performance monitoring. 4 . Cloud & Deployment Exposure Hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines, app store deployments, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP Utilize Kubernetes for managing and deploying containerized services, ensuring scalable and resilient app performance. Adoption of serverless computing for optimizing backend resources and app performance. 5 . Team Collaboration Work with designers, product managers, and senior developers to translate product requirements into technical features. Participate in team stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Skills & Qualifications Must-Haves 1–3 years of experience in mobile app development (iOS and/or Android) Hands-on experience with React Native . Familiarity with backend integration (REST APIs, GraphQL) Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) Knowledge of Git, version control, and modern dev workflows Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Good to Have Exposure to CI/CD tools and mobile app deployment Understanding of mobile performance optimization Interest in UI/UX and user-centric design Familiarity with mobile app security best practices Why Verona?
