Analyst – US Mortgage Accounting

We provide virtual business process services to various types of overseas clients and this position is to be part of the team which provides accounting support to a Private Real estate Lender from the US Mortgage Finance industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure timely and accurate recording of journal entries in accordance with US accounting rules and company policies
• Perform critical steps in the journal entry process, including entry to accounting system, matching to loan records, coding to general ledger, and matching to back-up support
• Perform daily reconciliations of cash movements between banking records, loan records and general ledger
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure alignment between external records and general ledger
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting
• Embrace the capabilities of new general ledger accounting software, identifying opportunities to automate, digitize and improve our current accounting processes
• Collaborate with team members across the Company, including Treasury and Asset Management, and with 3rd parties, such as vendors and customers
• Support the annual audit and quality review activities of external auditors

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A range of 0 - 4 + years of experience in accounting area
• Advanced Excel Skills like Pivot Tables, vlookups, hlookups, macros, etc.,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations to senior management
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA, CFA, or other Post-Grad Degree a plus
• Real estate, mortgage banking, or asset management industry experience preferred
• NetSuite experience preferred

SKILLS

• Strong Finance and Accounting skills, application of financial policies of the company. • Compliance with US Legal Regulatory Requirements related to client’s mortgage business • Accounts reconciliation and Reporting, Implementation of strong Accounting Controls • Advanced Excel customization skills, Report envisaging and presentation skills

LOCATION: Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad, (Hybrid Working)

TIMINGS: USA Shift IST 3:00pm to 12:00am
